Where are you located?

We are based in the sunny seaside town of Pāpāmoa, Tauranga in New Zealand.

If you're confused, don't be hehe we moved here for my husbands work in 2021 after we found out we were having a baby and our Stonefields lease ended. So yes, we are the original Smooch from Auckland.

How far in advance should I order?

As soon as possible! We take orders up to 3 months in advance, you can use our calendar in your cart to see if we're available.

Do you travel?

Yes, I can travel, at a cost of course!

Delivery can be arranged Tauranga wide for most orders.

We deliver wedding cakes upto 1.5 hours away.

For further travel info including international travel please get in touch.

How late can I place an order?

Orders for the week ahead need to be placed by Sunday 6pm.

E.g ordering BrownieMail for Wednesday Dispatch day, order on Sunday.

I can see a date on the calendar?

If the calendar is blocked out we are most likely full for that date, so best to get in as soon as possible.

Do you ship your cakes?

Unfortunately we don't ship our cakes.

Nationwide Shipping

  • We send our BrownieMail & nationwide range via overnight couriers with NZ Couriers.

  • NZ Couriers so far have been amazing at delivering our brownies on time, however as always there could be delays of 1-2 days so please keep that in mind. You could always select a couple days ahead if you wish.

Shipping Cost

We have a flat rate cost of $8.70 for overnight shipping with NZ Couriers.

How will you send my order?

Your order will be baked fresh the morning of being sent, yes we get up super early and prepare your treats. They get packaged into a beautiful Crafted by Smooch box with baking paper and a little bit of bubble wrap to keep your toppings safe. Then its wrapped up in lots of kraft wrap, into a box and sealed to keep it nice and fresh.

Is my order tracked?

It sure is! Once the courier has picked your order up, you will recieve your tracking details via email.

Terms & Conditions

Online Shop T&C's

Please ensure all details are correct before finalising your order. In the case you have entered incorrect details please contact us as soon as possible to remedy the situation. You are responsible for choosing the correct date and timeframe when checking out. All orders placed via our online shop are made final when payment is processed.

If you have ordered a deliverable item via our nationwide range please note that we use a third party courier service, currently NZ Couriers overnight service for North Island shipping and 1-2 day shipping for South Island orders. In accordance with NZ Post terms and conditions "overnight" is only an estimate and there could pontentially be delays. You will recieve tracking once your order has been picked up. In the event your order gets "lost" or "stolen" we cannot take any responsibility for this and refunds will not be given. It is at the customers risk if the order is misplaced, we cannot be made liable once your order has been dispatched from our premise. Please ensure you have read the full product description that icludes all shipping timeframes and dispatch days.

While we do our upmost best to recreate our online store products, it is impossible to make two items the exact same.

We consider your order accepted once the order has left our premise. We cannot take any responsibility for your order or any damage once it has been picked up.

Once your order is processed and paid at the checkout you are agreeing to these terms.

Custom Order T&C's

CUSTOM ORDERS - via email

We require a $50 deposit on all orders within 3 days to hold your booking date. The remaining amount is to be paid 2 weeks prior to your order date. If your order has been made within two weeks of your event date your order must be paid in full immediately. Please let us know if anything changes, especially once you've paid your deposit. Your deposit is non-refundable as it holds your booking date. If you need to change your date please give us at least 2 weeks notice as we can only change dates subject to availability. If you cancel your order within a 2 weeks of your order only 50% of the balance paid will be refunded (excluding your deposit). If you give us more than 2 weeks notice of cancellation a full refund will be given excluding your deposit.

We consider your order accepted once the order has left our premise. We cannot take any responsibility for your order or any damage once it has been picked up.

Cancellations + Refund Policies

ONLINE STORE CANCELLATIONS

If you need to cancel your online order please ensure you give us at least 2 weeks notice, cancellations with the appropriate notice with recieve a refund minus a $50 admin fee. Any cancellation requests after this period will be voided. Once your order is placed online we will begin preparation for our production line weeks in advance therefore a refund is not feasible.

CUSTOM ORDERS

If you need to cancel your custom order we require two weeks notice, if cancelled within two weeks of your order date you will not recieve a refund. If cancelled with two weeks notice you will recieve a refund on what has been paid minus the $50 deposit.

POSTPONEMENTS / COVID-19

Should you need to postpone your order, please let us know as soon as possible. We are only able to accept postponements with at least 5 days notice AND if we have the appropriate availabilty on your newly requested date. If we are unable to accomadate your posponement no refunds will be given and we will 1. make your cake on the original date. 2. offer store credit. Any postponements within 5 days of the order will be considered as cancellations.

REFUNDS / CREDIT

Once your order has been picked up / handed over for delivery we cannot accept any responsibilty. Should you be unhappy with your order your must tell us at the time of handover. We will not accept any refund requests for design once the cake has left the premise and/or staff. Should a refund be requested due to the quality of flavour, this will be determined once the order has been returned to our premise at the customers expense to be examined. We will not refund consumed goods including nationwide delivery.

In the event of a natural disaster, pandemic, nationwide emergencies beyond our control, refunds will not be provided on any payments made towards your order unless in accordance with our refund policies.

Please ensure you have read through all our Terms and Conditions by paying for order in full or via your $50 deposit you are agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.

Sizing & Serving Info

While we do our best to give you a rough size and serving guide for our products. This is only a estimate and we cannot take responsibility for how you serve your cake/cupcakes/doughnuts/slices.

Dessert serve = 1 "x 2" slice of cake.

Coffee serve = 1" x 1" slice of cake.

Digit/Number cakes do not come with sereving suggestions as each Digit/Number is differenct and depends on how the customer chooses to serve it.
